Poltergeist Remake Set For 2014 Release
MGM has partnered up with Twentieth Century Fox to co-finance and distribute a 2014 remake of the 1982 classic Poltergeist, with production set to begin in the Fall. In a revisionist take on the Steven Spielberg classic, a family struggling to make ends meet relocates to an outdated suburban home and is confronted by an angry spirit who kidnaps their youngest daughter and challenges them to band together to rescue her from the clutches of evil.

Diablo III Closed Beta Ends May 1
Blizzard announced earlier today that Diablo III's closed beta test will be drawing to an end on May 1. If you are one of the few who have been lucky enough to test out the game, then you better enjoy the next two weeks. All beta accounts and characters will be reset next Tuesday for the public release of the long-awaited RPG on May 15.

EA Wants A Film Studio To Feel The Need For Speed
Fans of racing movies are in luck. The Fast and Furious franchise may be straying away from its roots but United Talent Agency is shopping around a movie script for Electronic Arts that is based off the Need for Speed video game franchise. Variety is reporting that siblings George and John Gatins (Real Steel) developed the script and they are currently trying to find a studio to back it.

Coachella Brings Tupac Shakur Back To Life
The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is one of the coolest festivals in the United States. For this year's event, festival organizers decided to extend the weekend-long festival to two back-to-back weekends, with performances last weekend (April 13-15) and a repeat performance this weekend (April 20-22). Rumors had been swirling for weeks, especially on TMZ, about a hologram version of the late rapper Nate Dogg, who would perform with headliners Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
